Texas Instruments CD4555BMT is a dual, independent 1-of-2 decoder/demultiplexer from the 4000B series. Each of the two circuits features two binary data inputs (A0, A1) and an enable input (E). The device decodes a 2-bit binary input into one of four mutually exclusive outputs. The enable input can be used to gate any of the four outputs ON or OFF. When the enable input is HIGH, all outputs are HIGH. When the enable input is LOW, the binary inputs select which output is LOW while the others remain HIGH. This device is suitable for a wide range of applications including data routing, address decoding, and control functions within industrial, automotive, and communication systems. The CD4555BMT is supplied in a 16-SOIC package for surface mounting and operates from a 3V to 18V supply range. It offers output currents of 6.8mA for both high and low states.
