STMicroelectronics 74HC series M74HC148RM13TR is a high-speed CMOS priority encoder. This device features a single 8-input to 3-bit output priority encoder circuit, capable of encoding eight non-maskable data inputs into a three-bit binary code. The highest order active input is encoded to the three-bit output, with the remaining inputs being ignored. An enable input is provided to put the device in standby mode. The output is valid only when the enable input is active. The M74HC148RM13TR operates with a single supply voltage ranging from 2V to 6V. It offers a symmetrical output drive capability of 5.2mA at both high and low output states. Designed for surface mount applications, this component is supplied in a 16-SOIC package on tape and reel. Its wide operating temperature range of -55°C to 125°C makes it suitable for demanding industrial and automotive environments.
