Renesas Electronics Corporation 74LS138P-E is a 1-of-8 decoder/demultiplexer from the 74LS series. This TTL-compatible device features a single 1:8 decoding circuit with active-low outputs. It accepts three binary select inputs (A, B, C) and provides eight mutually exclusive output enable signals. The device has three enable inputs (G1, G2A, G2B) that control the output state. When G1 is high and both G2A and G2B are low, the decoder is enabled. Otherwise, all outputs remain high. Ideal for address decoding, memory selection, and data routing applications, this component finds use in industrial automation, consumer electronics, and telecommunications. The 74LS138P-E is supplied in a 16-DIP package for through-hole mounting and operates within a temperature range of -20°C to 75°C with a single supply voltage of 4.75V to 5.25V. The output drive capability is 400µA for high and 8mA for low.
