onsemi CD4017BCN is a CMOS decade counter/divider from the 4000B series. This synchronous counter features 10 decoded outputs, with one output active at any given time. The CD4017BCN accepts a high-level clock signal and advances the current output to the next output in response to a low-to-high transition of the clock input. A high-level on the clock inhibit input stops the counting. A high-level on the reset input resets the counter to a clear state, returning output 0 to its active state. This component is commonly utilized in digital logic, control systems, and timing applications across industries such as automotive, industrial automation, and consumer electronics. It operates with a supply voltage range of 3V to 15V and features asynchronous reset. The device is packaged in a 16-PDIP (0.300", 7.62mm) through-hole mount.
