Vishay General Semiconductor's TransZorb® series LCE8-5-E3-54 is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor designed for robust overvoltage protection. This axial leaded device, housed in a DO-201AA (DO-27) package, offers a reverse standoff voltage of 8.5V and a breakdown voltage of 9.44V minimum. It excels in clamping transient surges to a maximum of 15.9V at a peak pulse current of 94A, dissipating up to 1500W (1.5kW) of peak pulse power. The LCE8-5-E3-54 operates reliably across a wide temperature range of -65°C to 175°C.
