TDK-Micronas GmbH HAL® 5xy series HAL503S-E is a digital Hall effect latch sensor with an open-drain output. This device features temperature compensation for stable operation across its wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 140°C. Designed for surface mounting in a TO-243AA (SOT-89B-1) package, it requires a supply voltage from 3.8V to 24V, with a maximum supply current of 4.2mA. The output can sink up to 20mA. The HAL503S-E is sensitive to the south pole of a magnetic field, with a typical trip point of 10mT and a release point of -10mT. This component is commonly utilized in automotive and industrial applications requiring reliable magnetic sensing, such as position detection and speed sensing.
