STMicroelectronics ACS™/A.S.D® ACS108-5SA-AP is a single, logic-sensitive gate TRIAC designed for general-purpose AC power control applications. With a 500V off-state voltage and an 800mA RMS on-state current capability, this device is suitable for various switching and control functions. The sensitive gate requires a maximum gate trigger current of 10mA and a gate trigger voltage of 1V, allowing for control with low-power microcontrollers. It features a non-repetitive surge current rating of 7.3A and 8A at 50Hz and 60Hz respectively. The TRIAC is housed in a TO-92-3 package with formed leads, facilitating through-hole mounting. Operating temperature ranges from -30°C to 125°C (TJ). This component finds application in lighting control, motor speed regulation, and general AC power switching.
