STMicroelectronics SMP80MC-160 is a 160V TRISIL™ thyristor in a DO-214AA (SMB) package. This unidirectional thyristor protection device features a 205V breakover voltage and a 160V off-state voltage. Its robust design delivers a 200A peak pulse current capability for an 8/20µs waveform and 80A for a 10/1000µs waveform. The SMP80MC-160 maintains a 150 mA holding current and exhibits a typical capacitance of 25pF. Designed for surface mounting, this single-element device is commonly utilized in telecommunications, industrial control, and automotive applications for transient voltage suppression and overvoltage protection. It is supplied on tape and reel (TR).
