Power Integrations TOPSwitch® TOP101YAI is an offline PWM controller for high-efficiency switch-mode power supplies. This component integrates a high-voltage MOSFET, a PWM controller, fault protection circuitry, and other control functions into a single TO-220-3 package. It supports switching frequencies up to 100kHz and offers a 67% duty cycle. Key fault protection features include current limiting and over-temperature protection. The TOP101YAI is designed for isolated topologies such as boost, buck, flyback, and forward converters, providing up to 50W of power. Its high voltage breakdown of 350V makes it suitable for a wide range of AC-DC conversion applications. The through-hole mounting type and TO-220-3 package are standard for many power supply designs across industrial, consumer electronics, and adapter markets.
