Nuvoton Technology Corporation's ISD2540P ChipCorder® is a single-chip, multi-message voice record/playback device offering up to 40 seconds of storage. This through-hole mounted, 28-DIP (0.600" width) component operates from a 4.5V to 6.5V supply and features an internal/external oscillator type. The device accepts analog input signals from a microphone with automatic gain control and a 2.7kHz filter pass band. Playback is delivered via a PWM speaker output. Messaging can be managed through pushbutton interface. The ISD2540P is suitable for applications in industrial control, consumer electronics, and security systems, operating within a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
