Microchip Technology's SM1603C-TR13 is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode designed for robust overvoltage protection. This component offers a reverse standoff voltage of 3.3V and a breakdown voltage of 4V (minimum). The SM1603C-TR13 features a clamping voltage of 9V at a peak pulse current (Ipp) of 5A (8/20µs), delivering 300W of peak pulse power. With a low capacitance of 425pF at 1MHz, it is suitable for high-speed data lines. The TVS diode is housed in a 16-SOIC surface-mount package and operates across a wide temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. This device finds application in general-purpose protection scenarios and is supplied on tape and reel (TR).
