Microchip Technology's MXUPTB8 is a bidirectional Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode designed for robust overvoltage protection. This surface-mount component, housed in a Powermite 1 (DO216-AA) package, offers a peak pulse current handling capability of 10.9A for a 10/1000µs waveform. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 8V and a breakdown voltage of 9V (minimum). The device effectively clamps transients to a maximum of 13.7V at 10.9A, providing 1000W (1kW) of peak pulse power dissipation.
