The Microchip Technology MPLAD18KP48A-TR is a high-power Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode designed for robust surface mount applications. This Zener-type device offers a 48V reverse standoff voltage and a breakdown voltage of 53.3V (minimum). Engineered for demanding environments, it features a peak pulse current capability of 233A (10/1000µs) and a substantial peak pulse power rating of 18000W (18kW). The clamping voltage at Ipp is rated at 77.4V. This component is supplied in a Nonstandard SMD package, utilizing the PLAD supplier device package, and is delivered on tape and reel for automated assembly. Its military grade and MIL-PRF-19500 qualification make it suitable for applications requiring high reliability and extreme operating conditions, including aerospace and defense systems.
