The Microchip Technology T6817-TKQ is a BCDMOS half-bridge driver designed for applications in automotive lighting, DC motor control, and power resistor arrays. This device operates with a supply voltage range of 4.5V to 5.5V and can drive loads up to 40V. Each half-bridge output is capable of delivering 600mA continuous current. Key features include fault protection against ESD, open load detection, over-temperature, short circuit, and undervoltage lockout (UVLO). The T6817-TKQ also provides a status flag for monitoring operational conditions. It interfaces via SPI and is suitable for inductive, capacitive, and resistive loads. The driver is available in a 20-SSO (20-TSSOP) surface-mount package, supplied on tape and reel. It boasts typical on-resistance values of 1.5 Ohms for the low-side switch and 2 Ohms for the high-side switch. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 150°C.
