Intel PEF20542 is a CMOS serial I/O controller providing two independent serial communication channels. This component supports a maximum data transfer rate of 2 Mbps and offers flexible communication standards including ASYNC, BIT, SYNC (BYTE, HDLC, SDLC), and BISYNC. Data encoding and decoding methods supported are NRZ, NRZI, FM, and BIPH-LEVEL (MANCHESTER). The device features a 16-bit external data bus and a 24-bit address bus. Boundary scan functionality is included. Operating within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, the PEF20542 operates from a 3.3V nominal supply voltage, with a range of 3.0V to 3.6V.
