Fairchild Semiconductor TIP111 is an NPN Darlington bipolar junction transistor designed for robust switching and amplification applications. This through-hole component features an 80V collector-emitter breakdown voltage and a continuous collector current capability of 2A. With a minimum DC current gain (hFE) of 1000 at 1A and 4V, it offers significant current amplification. The transition frequency is 25MHz, and it can dissipate up to 50W. The saturation voltage (Vce Sat) is a maximum of 2.5V at 8mA base current and 2A collector current. This device is packaged in a TO-220-3 configuration and operates across a wide temperature range from -65°C to 150°C.
