Quality Control: Learn More

Fairchild Semiconductor FAN7389MX is a 3-phase, half-bridge gate driver IC designed for controlling Brushless DC motors. This component features six independent drivers optimized for IGBT and N-Channel MOSFETs. It offers a peak output current of 350mA source and 650mA sink, with typical rise and fall times of 50ns and 30ns respectively. The high-side voltage capability reaches up to 600V, supported by a bootstrap function. Operating within a supply voltage range of 10V to 20V, the FAN7389MX has logic input thresholds of 0.8V (VIL) and 2.5V (VIH) for its non-inverting inputs. This device is housed in a 24-SOIC (0.295", 7.50mm Width) package suitable for surface mounting. Its robust design makes it suitable for applications in industrial automation, power supplies, and automotive systems.

Integrated Circuit FAQs

An integrated circuit (IC) is a semiconductor chip that contains transistors, resistors, capacitors, and other electronic components on a single silicon substrate. ICs are the foundation of modern electronics and power devices such as smartphones, computers, automotive systems, and industrial equipment.

Integrated circuits work by routing electrical signals through microscopic semiconductor components fabricated onto a silicon chip. Depending on the design, ICs can process, amplify, store, or control electronic data.
