The Analog Devices Inc./Maxim Integrated MAX4712CPE- is a quad, single-pole, single-throw (SPST) analog switch. This device features a 1:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer circuit with four independent switches. Each switch exhibits a typical on-state resistance of 25 Ohms, with a maximum of 25 Ohms, and a channel-to-channel matching (?Ron) of 200 mOhms. The switches have a charge injection of 25 pC and a crosstalk of -87 dB at 1 MHz. Current leakage (IS(off)) is a maximum of 500 pA. Operating over a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C, the MAX4712CPE- supports single supply voltages from 2.7V to 11V and dual supply voltages from ±2.7V to ±5.5V. Switching times are 125 ns for turn-on and 80 ns for turn-off. The component is housed in a 16-PDIP package, suitable for through-hole mounting. This device is commonly utilized in applications such as audio and video signal routing, battery-powered applications, and general-purpose switching.

Integrated Circuit FAQs

An integrated circuit (IC) is a semiconductor chip that contains transistors, resistors, capacitors, and other electronic components on a single silicon substrate. ICs are the foundation of modern electronics and power devices such as smartphones, computers, automotive systems, and industrial equipment.

Integrated circuits work by routing electrical signals through microscopic semiconductor components fabricated onto a silicon chip. Depending on the design, ICs can process, amplify, store, or control electronic data.
