Analog Devices Inc./Maxim Integrated MAX4630ESD is a quad, single-pole, single-throw, normally closed (SPST-NC) analog switch. This 4-circuit device offers a low on-state resistance of 70 Ohms maximum, with channel-to-channel matching (?Ron) of 500 mOhms. The -3dB bandwidth reaches 300MHz, making it suitable for applications requiring high-frequency signal routing. Channel capacitance is specified at 20pF for off-state (CS(off)) and 12pF for off-state (CD(off)), with a charge injection of 5pC. Crosstalk performance is -90dB at 1MHz, and leakage current (IS(off)) is a maximum of 500pA. The MAX4630ESD operates from a single supply voltage ranging from 2V to 12V and features a 1:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer circuit configuration. It is available in a 14-SOIC surface mount package. This component finds application in telecommunications, data acquisition, and test and measurement equipment.

Integrated Circuit FAQs

An integrated circuit (IC) is a semiconductor chip that contains transistors, resistors, capacitors, and other electronic components on a single silicon substrate. ICs are the foundation of modern electronics and power devices such as smartphones, computers, automotive systems, and industrial equipment.

Integrated circuits work by routing electrical signals through microscopic semiconductor components fabricated onto a silicon chip. Depending on the design, ICs can process, amplify, store, or control electronic data.
