Analog Devices Inc./Maxim Integrated MAX4519EPD is a dual-pole, single-throw (DPST) analog switch. This component features two independent 2:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer circuits, each with a maximum on-state resistance of 100 Ohms. Designed for through-hole mounting in a 14-PDIP package, the MAX4519EPD supports single supply voltages from 2V to 15V and dual supply voltages from ±2.7V to ±8V. Key performance specifications include channel capacitance of 5pF and 10pF (CS(off), CD(off)), a maximum charge injection of 5pC, and a crosstalk of -92dB at 100kHz. Leakage current (IS(off)) is a maximum of 100pA, and channel-to-channel matching (?Ron) is a maximum of 4 Ohms. Switching times are rated at 150ns for both turn-on and turn-off. This device is suitable for applications in telecommunications, industrial automation, and test and measurement equipment. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C (TA).

Integrated Circuit FAQs

An integrated circuit (IC) is a semiconductor chip that contains transistors, resistors, capacitors, and other electronic components on a single silicon substrate. ICs are the foundation of modern electronics and power devices such as smartphones, computers, automotive systems, and industrial equipment.

Integrated circuits work by routing electrical signals through microscopic semiconductor components fabricated onto a silicon chip. Depending on the design, ICs can process, amplify, store, or control electronic data.
