The Advanced Micro Devices Z85C3016 is a CMOS Serial I/O Controller featuring two independent serial channels. It includes two modem control I/Os that can function as general-purpose I/Os and a 10 x 19 frame status FIFO for enhanced buffering. The device operates from a 4.5V to 5.5V supply, with a nominal 5.0V, and has a maximum supply current of 22mA. Its operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C. Packaged in a 40-pin CDIP, it is suitable for industrial control, telecommunications, and embedded systems applications requiring robust serial communication capabilities.
