Infographic: A Brief History of Electronics from the 1900s

Semiconductors were first discovered in the 19th century, and since then, they have rapidly grown in significance to technology. They have paved the way for electronics and technology to advance towards higher levels of complexity by significantly changing how electricity works. The development of semiconductor technology in the late 1900s sparked a wave of innovation in consumer electronics. As a result, a revolution in electronics began, affecting everything from basic computing power to equipment and vehicles for space exploration. Prior to this dark age turning point, major electronics could not have been developed with the efficiency and performance levels they have today thanks to the development of cutting-edge semiconductors.
